And You Thought Lucifer Was Male!
Written by Ashley Decker on July 16, 2009 – 10:44 pm -My family recently got a kitten from the local animal shelter. We decided to call her Lucifer. We are going to call her Lucy for short. And you thought Lucifer was male. Lucifer is a female kitten. I had this name picked out a long time ago. I thought it would be great to name a cat after the Prince of Darkness. Hail Satan! Below is a picture of Lucifer. Isn’t she cute?

Zombie Jesus Day

What a silly thing to celebrate, Easter, I mean Zombie Jesus Day. The above picture describes it better that I could. If you cut out the miracles, the rising from the dead and walking around like a zombie, the story of Jesus is a pretty good story. Not original, but good. How people can be gullible enough to believe that Jesus came back after he died I will never know.
I had a weird experience today, Zombie Jesus Day. I recently started a new job doing collections in a call center. I call people who are past due on their car payment. It’s actually fun job at times, because the people get upset at me, but it’s not my fault they didn’t pay on time. I always work on Sundays and that’s okay. Often people will tell me that I shouldn’t call on the lord’s day. My response is always something like, “If you had made your payment on time, I wouldn’t have to call you.”
Today being the silly holy day it is, I knew people were going to cuss me out for calling them while they were worshiping their zombie. I did get cussed out a few times by these “good christian people.” (I used that term because I can’t stand it when people say that, as if good people are always christian.) I don’t think that Jesus would approve of their language. One man went on for the longest time about how he was sorry for me because I was working on Easter. I had to convince him I was okay with working on Easter to get him off the phone.
Most of the time at the beginning of the call they would say, “It’s Easter Sunday, why are you calling me?” Each time I said, “Well if you would have made your payment by the due date or before today, I wouldn’t have called.” Why did they always say Easter Sunday? It’s never Easter Tuesday, it’s always on Sunday.
Well to finish the day off right I must watch a zombie movie. I love horror movies and what a good reason to watch one. I have one I have never seen before called Zombie Island Massacre. It looks kinda stupid, but who cares, ITS ZOMBIES!
Here is an interesting page about zombie Jesus:

Why Did President Obama Have To Do That?
Written by Ashley Decker on March 4, 2009 – 8:29 pm -Readers of this blog might know that I was a Boy Scout and that I am not happy with them because they ban Gays and atheists. If you don’t remember you can read that blog post here. Today I would like to talk about Barack Obama accepting the position of “honorary president” of the Boy Scouts of America.
According to this article and this one too, each president has accepted this position since 1910. This was not something I was aware of since my days in scouting. Gay and atheist activist groups had asked the president to not accept the title because of the discrimination issues with the group. He did anyways.
People who know me know that I am a huge Obama fan, but there are a few issues I disagree with him on. This is just another one to add to the list, I guess. The Boy Scouts of American needs to lose their government funding until they start accepting gays and atheists.
Since writing the blog post I wrote back in 2006 about being a Boy Scout myself, there have been some changes. I talked about if I had a son I didn’t think I would want him to join. Well, I have a son now and as of right now I would not want him to be a Boy Scout. I also have signed the petition at scoutingforall.org. I urge you to go to that site and sign the petition.

Borders Apologized to Me
Written by Ashley Decker on January 8, 2009 – 5:40 pm -I almost forgot to post an update about the Borders Bookstore incident. On January 1, I received a message from Ashley at Borders. I thought the message was nice. Here is the message they sent me:
Dear Ashley, Thank you for contacting Borders Customer Care and making us aware of your concern. I would like to apologize for your experience at our Barboursville - Borders. The situation you describe doesn’t fit with the high levels of customer care that we train for and expect our employees to deliver, so we are concerned when we hear about this type of interaction at one of our stores. I am forwarding your comments to the General Manager for the store and the District Manager for the area. It is our practice to pass on any feedback regarding customer experiences in our stores, such as the feedback you provided, to the GM and the DM. “Atheism Does Not Exist”, So Says a Bookstore Clerk
Written by Ashley Decker on December 30, 2008 – 9:38 pm -I went to Borders, a book store in the Huntington Mall, today and I bought a book. I like that bookstore because they have a good selection of books on computers and atheism. Today I went to the atheism section to see if they had any copies of Atheist Universe by David Mills. David Mills is from Huntington, WV and I really enjoyed his book. Borders did not have a copy of his book, but they had Atheism: A Very Short Introduction. While in college I had to buy a few of the “A Very Short Introduction” books. I thought they were well written and not biased. The other ones that I have are about Theology, Buddhism, and Islam. So I grabbed the book and headed to a cash register.
I laid the book on the counter. The man behind the counter asked me if I had a Borders Credit Card. I told that I didn’t have one and didn’t need one. That’s where the conversation took a turn for the worst. He looked at the book and then looked a me and said, “You know that there is no such thing as atheism, don’t you?” I was shocked, because I have bought plenty of books like that in that store and other stores and no one ever says anything. I said, “Yes, atheism does exist.” So now he assumes I am an atheist (and well of course he’s right). He then tells me that I believe in “nothing”. I have to admit was not prepared for this discussion, but I told him that I did believe in something, I said, “I believe there is no god.”
I think a said a couple more things, but he didn’t seem to want to listen to what I had to say. He wanted to argue and I didn’t, so I left. I started walking towards the door and my wife was right behind me with our son in the stroller. The man followed us and continued to preach at me. The last thing we heard him say was that I had to be a Daoist, because I believe in nothing which is something. The argument didn’t make any sense.
When I got home I went to the Borders website and found their “contact us form”. I didn’t do a lot of complaining, I just wanted them to know what happened. I don’t know if they will contact me, but they have my email address and phone number. If they contact me I will definitely update this blog.
Here is the message I sent to Borders:
I visited your store today in the Huntington Mall in Barboursville WV. I found a book I wanted to purchase and walked up to a cash register. A man asked me if I had a Borders Card and I said “no” and that I didn’t need one. He then started to talk about the book I purchased. The book is called, Atheism: A Very Short Introduction by Julian Baggini. He then began to criticize me for purchasing that book. He told me hat there was no such thing as atheism. I told him that there was and I am an atheist. He wanted to argue and I didn’t. He then started telling me how I believe and got it all wrong. I tried to walk away and he continued to preach at me. I walked out of the store and he was still talking to me. This employee was just rude. I have purchased several books like this in your store and nothing like this has ever happened before today. His employee number is 00470.

Forget the Dash! This is the new AmericanInfidel.com!
Written by Ashley Decker on November 21, 2008 – 12:20 pm -I wrote my first piece for this site on July 7, 2005, except it wasn’t this site or this address. This site has had several homes and domain names. From the beginning I wanted to own AmericanInfidel.com, but it already had an owner. I settled with american-infidel.org, but later bought American-Infidel.com when it became available a few months ago.
In October, I started receiving messages asking me if I wanted to buy AmericanInfidel.com. They wanted me to make an offer or they would contact someone else. Of course I wanted to buy the domain. I thought about offering $20-$30, but I knew that they would turn me down. They sent me another message a few days later asking me to go to a site and view their asking price and put in my offer. Their asking price was…$999. Holy Shit! You read that right, almost $1000. I can’t say I wanted the domain that bad. So, I didn’t bother to offer anything.
As I always do every few months, I searched Godaddy to find out if the domain was available and it was available. That was two days ago. After I applied a coupon code for $2.50, I purchased the domain, AmericanInfidel.com for $7.69! That’s right, I saved $991.31. What a deal! The domain had expired and no one wanted to pay that insane price for it.
So, you might be asking yourself, why should I care? Well, you can forget the dash! The dash will still get you here. Please update your bookmarks, because later I may decide to cancel the other domain names.
Here is a list of the domain names that I currently own for this site:
AmericanInfidel.com
American-Infidel.com
American-Infidel.org
American-Infidel.net
AmericanInfidel.tk
My new email address is:

Christians Post the Stupidest Stuff on MySpace
Written by Ashley Decker on October 24, 2008 – 3:41 pm -Here’s another and it’s was posted as bulletin from the same friend that posted most of these. I typed up a response to this one and decided not to send it. If I do decide to send a response to her I will post it here.
It’s related to the election again. Here it is:
Subject: Challenge to Christians Body: This is a message that was sent to me by one of our friends. I was very dismayed when, recently, a family member of mine said to me with great resignation that Obama will take the presidency. These words came from someone who in the past has been a great prayer warrior. What is happening was my question??? Why are we Christians settling and not issuing a battle cry and falling to our knees and taking our country back? We allow ourselves to be stripped of the right to pray at school functions and in school, we have the 10 commandments removed from government places and are told we cannot pray in school, all the while providing public prayer places for Muslims. What in the world is going on and why are we being apathetic? Why aren’t we praying? Our God is a mighty God who is waiting patiently for us to raise our voices to heaven to stop the tide of the anti-Christ actions in our world today. Now we find we have a charismatic candidate for president who does not respect our flag and refuses to wear one on his lapel except when it becomes politically expedient and whose own wife and pastor ,that he loves, profess to have strong anti-white feelings, and we sit back and say ‘it is a given, we can do nothing.’ There has never been a time in 2000 years that we can do nothing, never a time that we must sit back and allow the evil in men’s and women’s hearts to take over our world. We should be very afraid because our apathy is leading us to perdition. It is time for all Christian Americans to raise the battle cry and take our nation back. Maybe McCain on his own cannot defeat Obama, but our God can and He will if we take to our knees in prayer and raise a mighty cry to the heavens to ‘Save us O Lord.’ We have the power to change the course of this election and to keep a man as suspect as Barak Obama from leading our country to who knows where with his message of ‘change’ - a change which I fear will be away from our Christian ideals and away from Christ and further away from one nation under God to one nation under Allah. We are great at passing stories and pictures around the internet, but where are our prayers and prayer warriors praying to stop this tide of Barak Obama? God parted the red sea, Jesus raised himself from the dead, and we can bring our country back to its Christian roots and stop the move to the rise of Muslims in our country. We can stop our country from being ‘under Allah,’ but we must begin to pray, to pray as if our country and our lives depended on it, because they do. We can stop all these atrocities against God’s commands that have taken root in our country through something as simple as sincere prayer, a call to God to deliver us, to forgive us our sins of apathy and to protect us from the evil that is upon us. Okay prayer warriors, here is your challenge, start those prayer chains. Get the spiritual power working on our behalf and stop Barak Obama the proper way, by calling on our God to save us from the deception that charismatic preaching is using to lead us on the wrong path. Stop those who would take God out of our country and our government. Raise up good men to lead us and protect us. We should not rest on our laurels and allow ourselves to be taken further off the path of Christianity and to have God removed from our presence in our schools, courts, government and businesses. Invite God into the fray. Ask that His power rest upon us and give us the victory. Ask Him to raise up a might army to defend us and to protect our country as he did in days of old. Let us be victorious beginning NOW. The battle is His but we must call on Him without ceasing and unite our voices and hearts in prayer and fasting. Please pass this around to all people of prayer that you know and maybe, just maybe a more eloquent person of prayer will write something better and more inspiring and even the rocks will shout that Jesus is Lord and our Mighty God is with us, bringing the victory for us and ultimately for Him. – ‘Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.’ I Thes. 5:16-18 May God Bless Each and Every one of You and May God Bless America

Christians Post the Stupidest Stuff on MySpace
Written by Ashley Decker on October 17, 2008 – 4:06 pm -Here’s another one. Most of these MySpace bulletins come from the same friend of mine. Maybe I should tell her about my website. I really don’t think she would be prepared for the blasphemy on this website.
Here is the newest stupid bulletin and it’s about the election again:
Subject: No matter who wins the election NO MATTER WHO WINS THE ELECTION: 1. The Bible will still have all the answers. 2. Prayer will still work. 3. The Holy Spirit will still move. 4. God will still inhabit the praises of His people. 5. There will still be God-anointed preaching. 6. There will still be singing of praise to God. 7. God will still pour out blessings upon His people. 8. There will still be room at the Cross. 9. Jesus will still love you. 10. Jesus will still save the lost. ISN’T IT GREAT TO KNOW WHO IS STILL IN CONTROL? (Amen!)

Christians Post the Stupidest Stuff on MySpace
Written by Ashley Decker on October 16, 2008 – 2:16 pm -One of my christian friends posted this today and I thought it was…well, stupid. It suggests people pray so that they will vote their “christian values.” As if those are good values. The funny thing about this message is that it doesn’t tell you who to vote for. My suggestion is use those horrible christian values to vote for the next president of the United States: Barack Obama!
Here it is:
Subject: ONE MINUTE EACH NIGHT Body: ONE MINUTE EACH NIGHT This is the scariest election we as Christians have ever faced, and from the looks of the polls, the Christians aren’t voting Christian values. We all need to be on our knees. Do you believe we can take God at His word? Call upon His name, then stand back and watch His wonders unfold. This scripture gives us, as Christians, ownership of this land and the ability to call upon God to heal it. I challenge you to do that. We have never been more desperate than now for God to heal our land. This election is the scariest I remember in my lifetime. 2 Chronicles 7:14. ‘If my people, which are called by my name shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. During WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill, who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute, to collectively pray for the safety of England, its people and peace. This had an amazing effect, as bombing stopped. There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America. The United States of America, and our citizens, need prayer more than ever!!! If you would like to participate, each evening at 9:00 P.M. Eastern Time (8 PM Central, 7 PM Mountain, 6 PM Pacific), stop whatever you’re doing, and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens, for peace in the world, the upcoming election, that the Bible will remain the basis for the laws governing our land, and that Christianity will grow in the U.S. If you know anyone who would like to participate, please pass this along. Someone said if people really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless. Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have. Thank you. Please pass this on to anyone who you think will want to join us.
